The Weekend

Friday, I was able to work from home which was really nice. That evening Bryan and I just chilled at the house. My dad came over and we had our FRINGE night. Dad brought a variety of ice cream samplers for us as a treat.

This actually was a lot of ice cream!

Saturday, Bryan had to work at the office for a bit. Mom and dad came over in the afternoon to help me out . I thought Mosby had a really pale toungue and was acting a little funny with his neck. He had been having an upset stomach for a couple days so he had me worried there for awhile. Thankfully, he was all fine! That evening I met Lauren out at the Plaza Frontenac and we did a little shopping. Afterwards, Bryan picked me up and we went to his Business Networking (BNI) group’s party in downtown Clayton. It was a lot of fun! Hurricanes, Wine, and some Cajun food. Delish!

We couldn't pass up the Kate Spade store, love!

The party was on the 18th floor, this was the view from the roof.

Sunday, went to church, had lunch with the fam , Bryan took the dogs to the park since it was a gorgeous day out while I did lots of cleaning at the house. My new friend is Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! The bathtubs look sparkling white! :)

I love this photo of the boys!

Mosby did not want me to work

Good Find

I've been wanting a sailor knot type of bracelet for awhile. I found these KJP ones and loved them! However, they are slightly expensive for what they are. I was super excited when I found ones almost identical to them on etsy for $4. Yes, they don't have the leather or the metal anchor hook but you can't beat $4!

KielJamesPatrick $58

KielJamesPatrick $40

Etsy "MysticKnots.com" $4

Anxiously Waiting

I’m anxiously awaiting for baby girl Langan’s arrival! A best friend of mine, Jessica Langan and her husband Craig are expecting their first baby….due March 5th.   I’m so happy and excited for them and can’t believe that it’s already been 9 months. Jess started to have some contractions Monday night and Tuesday so she could be here soon!  My clothes are laid out and ready to go in case she goes into labor in the middle of the night. :)

Our gang of 4, Stefanie, Rebecca, Jess L, and myself have been at the hospital when available for all the previous births in the group.  After baby girl Langan's arrival we will be anxiously awaiting Stefanie and David's baby #3, baby girl Rhyan in April! yay!

Mother/Daughter/Sister Time

Mom treated Sarah and I on Saturday afternoon to get our nails done and out to lunch. Sarah got a manicure, mom got a mani/pedi and I got a pedicure. Afterwards we went to the mall and just looked around for a bit and then had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Yes, I had the Cheese two days in a row. My new favorite are their avocado egg rolls.....I'm definitely on an avocado kick lately!

Thanks Mom!

Bath Time

I must add that these mud baths are only given to Jaxson......he's the digger

This scene happened multiple times this weekend! Bryan and I will be so happy when our yard is no longer a swamp with mud holes everywhere.

Double Date Night

We had double date night with Lauren and Andy on Friday night. It was so much fun. We had dinner and drinks at the Cheesecake Factory and afterwards went to see The Vow (loved).

Perfect Valentine

Yesterday I had the perfect Valentine's day. My mom was released from the hospital and we were able to celebreate her 51st birthday with family (including Skype with Rebecca). Bryan surprised me when I came home from work with a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, my favorite; red velet cupcakes, and a super cute card. My father in law called to wish me a happy valentine's day which was super sweet and my dad got me a red rose.

How cute is the test tube of M&M's my mom made!

My gift to Bryan is making dinner tonight. I plan to make a Zesty Lime Shrimp and Avocado Salad.

Hospital Party

Mom was admitted to the hospital again on Thursdasy night for her asthma. Her birthday is on Monday, February 13th so Sarah and I took her a few items to celebrate over the weekend. We gave her plenty of mags to read through when she gets to feeling better, fun bday slippers, of course she loves her Starbucks iced tea, and a cake pop. We are hoping she gets to come home on her birthday.

Kauai Revealed

The Kauai Revealed book that we ordered came in the mail last week. Needless to say Bryan and I are super excited and anxious for our Hawaii trip that we are taking in April.....it's about all we have been thinking about lately! Hopefully this guidebook will help us while we are there. Bryan says he's already picked out the places he wants to eat (of course he has)!  We both decided we want to go ATVing and whale watching. If any blog readers have been to Hawaii and have any suggestions for things to do shoot me a message.

We had Snow

Wednesday morning we woke up to a dusting of snow. It was so pretty on the trees. It didn't last long I think everything had melted before lunchtime. The one year I have felt prepared for winter we have had the most mildest of ones. I guess I won't complain though I'm always ready for warm weather.  :)

Superbowl Sunday

Superbowl Sunday was a blast. I met Lauren and Andy out at Lifetime Fitness in chesterfield for an hour Turbo dance class with Lauren. Oh my......it was definitely a lot of fun but I was exhausted by the end. That's what I get though for not working out in forever. Time to get back in shape.

Afterwards Lauren and I had an impromptu shopping stop at Macys.....fun!

For the actual superbowl Mom, Dad, Grandma, Lauren and Andy came over to watch the game. I think we were all rooting for the Giants! This year I wasn't too thrilled about the match up so I really was more interested in seeing Kelly Clarkson sing the national anthem and Madonna's halftime performance. We of course feasted on an assortment of delicious foods! Thanks guys for coming!
