6 months

How big is baby: At a little over six months old Addie is fitting into size 3-6 and 6 months perfectly.  She is just over 13lbs.

Weight Gain/loss: While I have lost all the baby weight and the scale numbers aren't too bad I really need to start watching what I eat. I pretty much have used breastfeeding as an excuse to eat whatever I want whenever.

Cravings: Addie eats about every 1.5-3 hours. We just started feeding her some solid veggies/fruit the past couple weeks. I feel hungry all the time still! I can’t seem to kick the sweet tooth habit.

Symptoms:
Tired and feel like there aren't enough hours in the day to get what I want/need done.

Sleep:  Addie is a great sleeper at night. We continue to co-sleep which helps out tremendously while still breastfeeding. Addie eats while half asleep and momma feeds while half asleep it works out nicely and I highly recommend as long as certain things are followed. My most recent favorite book to read to Addie before bed was given to us by our friend Jill, "It's time to sleep my love". I love the book and Addie gives me the cutest look in her eyes while she listens to me read it.

I miss: I definitely miss Addie while I'm at work and while I am thankful to still be breastfeeding I kind of miss having my own body to myself. Sometimes it just gets exhausting to pump at work everyday, always having to think what I can eat/drink, and making sure I wear certain clothes for easier feedings.

I am loving: How Addie is such a happy girl, she loves dancing with us, and loves being outside.

I am looking forward to: The nice weather just so we can continue to take Addie out and experience new things. Even though it's not until next month I'm looking forward to Becca coming home and seeing Addie. The last time she saw her was over Christmas so she was only about 8-10 weeks old, she has changed so much since than!

Movements: She rolls over from back to from and front to back all the time, she is in the process of trying to crawl, sits up on her own and loves to bounce/jump on people's laps and her excersaucer.

Milestones: Most recent would be her sitting up by herself.

"What's in My Bag?"

When I went to take this picture I realized we really don't have too much in the diaper bag. Now that Addie is a little older I'm sure we will be adding in more toys.

Addie's Stuff

    1. Extra change of clothes
    2. Diapers
    3. Wipes
    4. Changing Pad
    5. Aden + Anais blanket (seriously one of my favorite items)
    6. Burp Clothes
    7. Paci Wipes
    8. Rattle
Momma's Stuff
    1. Wallet
    2. Lipgloss
    3. Sunglasses
Addie loves playing with this Owl toy, we just clip her binki to it
and she is able to rattle it when we are on the go.

5 months

Addie turned 5 months on Saturday.  She had her 5 month check-up on Friday. She weighs 11 lbs 12 oz in the 5th percentile and 24 3/4 in the 50th percentile. Dr. said she was growing great physically and developmentally. We go back when she is 7 months. She is suppose to start on soft veggies in about a month.

Post-Baby 3 Months

How big is baby: At a little over three months old Addie is fitting into size 0-3 months perfectly. My guess is she is in the 10-11 lb range right now.

Weight Gain/loss: I was very blessed and got back to pre-baby weight and a few less within several weeks after birth. However, since I am hungry all the time and keep eating I’m sure I put a few back on.

Cravings: Addie eats about every 1.5-3 hours. Momma feels like she is hungry ALL of the time! I guess that comes with breastfeeding. Momma also can’t seem to kick her sweet tooth habit.

Symptoms:
Very tight shoulders, some back pain, and tired.

Sleep:  I would say we finally have a pretty good routine down for sleeping. Addie really is a good sleeper. She only cries when she’s hungry and understands that it’s nighttime and she’s supposed to go to sleep. We do co-sleep most of the time which is what works best for us. I love how Addie nuzzles right next to me. Having the nursing night light helps a ton too! She’s soo cute, when we get up to change her diaper in the night she instantly will wake up and start smiling at us and as soon as we go back to bed she goes back to sleep instantly.

I miss: More than 2-3 hrs of sleep at a time, being able to run errands really quick, and miss seeing baby girl while I’m at work.

I am loving: How Addie is such a happy girl and we love listening to her talk all the time! She tries so hard to say real words.

I am looking forward to: This weekend my friend Carey is coming in town to meet Addie! And Saturday we are going to do her 3 month/Valentine’s Day photos!  Stay tuned I will post pics soon or keep an eye out on Facebook.

Movements: Addie LoVeS kicking her legs all the time. When she starts walking we are in trouble! ;)

Milestones:  She hasn’t done it yet but she is soo close to rolling over from back to front and front to back. She just needs that little extra umph to move that final bit.

Family Room Updates

Step 1.  Sell Couch, loveseat, and coffee/end tables

Our previous setup

Step 2. Furniture SOLD :) - Bryan seriously is awesome at selling things on Craigslist. All the items were sold in 24 hrs our less and out of the house within in a couple days. We hadn't even picked out the new furniture yet.

The boys missed their couch, we didn't have one for a few days.

Step 3. New couch picked out and delivered

Step 4: Pick out coffee and end tables

We love this middle ottoman....it has center storage so we can put
Addie's blankets and toys if necessary in there.
Plus it's soft for when Addie starts getting bigger and can walk.
And bonus for Bryan.... footrest
Step 5 : Picking out some wall decor

I LOVE these pottery barn ledge shelves!
Now they were a huge pain for Bryan to put up but love the end product.

Step 6: Picking out frames and finishing up the wall decor

 IN PROCESS  :)
